As part of preparations for the organization of the 2027 UEFA European U21 Championship, a UEFA working group conducted a visit to Albania from September 8-12. The purpose of this visit was to inspect the match stadiums, training grounds and hotels where the participating teams are expected to be accommodated.

UEFA officials, accompanied by representatives of the Albanian Football Association, have visited the stadiums that will welcome this historic championship.

The overall impression of UEFA inspectors was positive, while in parallel 28 hotels and 21 training centers were also visited, which will be evaluated by UEFA and will be shaped into the "Team Base Camp" for the catalog that will be offered to the finalist teams.

UEFA's next visit is planned for March 2026 to again see the progress of this grand project.

The UEFA Executive Committee decided in February of this year that Albania will be one of the host countries of the 2027 European U-21 Championship. This tournament, which will take place in June 2027, will include 16 teams representing the most prominent youth football talents in Europe, including players who are already active in the continent's top leagues.
