The Mexican Football Federation has launched an investigation into referee
Fernando Hernandez, who kicked a player with his knee when he showed him the yellow card.

It is about the midfielder Luca Romero, who together with Leon's teammates asked the referee to look at the episode in VAR with the claim of a regular goal in the match against Club America.

After the blow, Romero fell to the ground and in all likelihood, the referee will receive an exemplary punishment as in such cases a suspension of 1 in 15 matches is provided. The midfielder asked the match official to take action but the referee was justified saying that the action was not intentional.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw and after this challenge, Leon remains in third place in the classification with 1 point more than Club America.
