Accused of sexual harassment, the famous club suspends the coach

Scandal in Argentina in the women's team of Boca Juniors. Jorge Martinez was sacked from the women's first team after being accused of sexual abuse by the club's press officer.

"As a result of the public complaint against the coach of the women's soccer team, Jorge Daniel Martínez, Boca Juniors informs that it has removed him from his position until everything is clarified and responsibilities are determined," the Argentine club wrote in a statement published on the website official.

We recall that Boca Juniors employee Florencia Marco, who arrived at the Buenos Aires capital club in 2011 and took charge of the women's team from 2019, claims to have suffered "several situations of harassment and fear" from the coach since he took over. office in January 2022.

In the first stage, Florencia Marco reported the case to Boca Juniors' Inclusion and Equality department.

He then sued the authorities.
