The Technical Committee of Experts returned to meetings today after the worsening of the Covid-19 situation in Albania, where we have an increase in infections, up to about 1 thousand a day yesterday and today, while there were also losses of life. The experts said that at this moment there will be no additional measures, while they recommended vaccination with the third dose and wearing masks indoors.

This issue was discussed on Wednesday evening in Debate on A2 CNN, where epidemiologists gave reasons why cases increased at this time of the year.

“Kjo ishte një situatë e pritshme. Covid ka qarkulluar me valë që kanë pasur pikun e tyre. Tani jemi në fillimin e një vale të re, që është vala e fillimit të stinës së verës, e cila po ndjehet edhe në Europë. Kjo valë nuk ka ardhur si pasojë e heqjes së masave. Mbizotëron varianti BA.2, por ka edhe qarkullim të varianteve BA.4 dhe BA.5”, u shpreh epidemiologu Artan Simaku.

Ndërkohë, epidemiologu Ledion Shapo mendon ndryshe, duke thënë se kjo situatë nuk ishte e pritshme në Shqipëri, duke qenë se pati një periudhë gati 3 mujore me raste të pakta.
