The head of PAA, Agron Duka, while speaking about the May 14 elections, showed the "formula" for the opposition to win.

Duka emphasized that the opposition should unite around its candidate for mayor, and not remain divided into two groups.

In an interview for Panorama TV, Duka further added that the opposition must win at least 20.

“Nëse nuk arrihet kjo do jetë shumë e vështirë për zgjedhjet parlamentare. Unë mendoj që të bashkohemi rreth një kandidati dhe secili të japë kontribut duke e mbështetur. Rasti i Igli Carës në Durrës ka një mbështetje të gjerë, jo vetëm ata të Foltores. Unë si parti aleate, ne do mbështesim Igli Carën”, u shpreh Duka.

Pyetje: Jemi përballë një mazhorancë që nuk po tundet, a mos duhet ngritur zëri, çfarë sugjeroni ju për protesta?

Agron Duka: Protestat kanë pozitivitet, bashkon opozitën kur kanë një temë të caktuar, por nuk mendoj se mund të vish në pushtet përmes protestave. Ajo që ne duhet të synojmë është të marrim një numër të konsiderueshëm bashkish, 20 e lart. Nëse arrihet kjo mund të përgatitemi për zgjedhjet parlamentare. Nëse nuk arrihet kjo do jetë shumë e vështirë për zgjedhjet parlamentare. Unë mendoj që të bashkohemi rreth një kandidati dhe secili të japë kontribut duke e mbështetur. Rasti i Igli Carës në Durrës ka një mbështetje të gjerë, jo vetëm ata të Foltores. Unë si parti aleate, ne do mbështesim Igli Carën.

The majority has the administration in all of Albania, economically they are much more powerful. If we do not give maximum contribution. If we unite around Berisha, it won't happen, if we unite around Alibeaj, it won't happen. We must unite around the candidate. We will support Igli Cara because he enjoys support in the community, he has nothing to do with non gratas.

Question: Who do you think is PD?

Agron Duka: When they can't find it, I will find it. The electoral weight belongs to Berisha. If I were a lawyer, it is obvious and visible to determine who the DP is. It seems to me that this is deliberately delayed to keep these groups separate. I think who will contribute to unite around the candidate.
