"The situation is scandalous"/ Himçi: The opposition faces a

Democratic Party MP Blendi Himçi said today's plenary session was a trap for the opposition prepared by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In an interview for 'Syri TV', Himçi focused on the numerous debates and tensions this Thursday in the Assembly, while emphasizing that the reason for the opposition's reaction was the use of the computer for Diella.

"Today we found ourselves in front of a trap prepared by Prime Minister Rama, who had prepared a scenario to disrupt this session.

It is the first case in all these years of political pluralism when a government does not disclose its program upon receiving a mandate before Parliament, or a vote of confidence before Parliament, and in open violation of the Constitution of Albania.

This then brought about our reaction, and then also in the parliamentary group. I wanted to say that the cause was certainly an artificial intelligence that the prime minister has named Diella, and of course we cannot listen to the discussion of a computer.

It is an insult to the intelligence not only of the members of the Albanian Parliament, but of course also of the Albanian citizens since the violation of the Constitution is open.
Even more scandalous is the position of the President of the Republic of Albania, who in complete blindness, like a puppet in the hands of the Prime Minister, decrees Diella as a minister of the cabinet of Rama 4.
We are after a total autocracy commanded by Rama and that in the face of this situation there will undoubtedly be a strong reaction from our side as the opposition.

At the parliamentary group meeting, we have identified 3 points that must be followed: first, once again, the resumption of the plenary session to obtain the vote of confidence of the government, we have requested in an official letter to the President of the Republic that the government not decree the ministers because they have not received the vote of confidence in Parliament, and what is the third point, we have also requested the motion for the dismissal of the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Niko Peleshi, for the reason of the open violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, for which a few days ago he swore that he would follow meticulously, both the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.

The situation is scandalous, we are in the darkest days of democracy as the Constitution has been violated in the worst possible way.

"We are facing a constitutional coup that began with a violation of the establishment of committees and the amendment of the Rules of Procedure, which began with a constitutional violation in the first session," Himçi said. /CNA
