A 22-year-old model risks up to five years in prison after taking provocative photos of a Thai royal monument.

Model Pim Atchapara came under fire after she posed for some photos that were called indecent in front of a statue of King Rama I in Buriram province on March 24.

In the photo, the 22-year-old model is wearing a very short brown skirt, through which her underwear was visible, and a red T-shirt.

"Please visit my city", the model captioned the photos.

After the photos were posted, local residents notified the police, while Astapara tried to avoid the worst, claiming he only wanted to invite tourists to the area.
