The Court of Appeal in Tirana has upheld the decision to extradite the 32-year-old Chinese Liangbin Chen, wanted by the Chinese authorities because he was accused of fraud involving large amounts of money.

The young man was detained in Rinas, as according to the Chinese justice authorities, he is suspected of fraud worth 145 million euros.

Linbin Chen was stopped by the Albanian police after checking the passengers of the plane that arrived from England at the runway of Rinas.

He was initially held in a cell, but the appeals court changed the measure to house arrest on the grounds that Linbin Chen was suffering from a head disease and his life was in danger in prison.
