Oil prices rise after surprise production cuts

Oil prices rose on Monday after some of the world's biggest exporters decided to cut production.

The price of Brent crude oil is trading at $85 a barrel, after an increase of nearly 6 percent.

Economists have warned that rising prices could hamper attempts to lower the cost of living.

But the monitoring group, RAC, has said that it does not expect an increase in petrol prices, unless the rise in oil prices continues for several days.
