LDK makes Vjosa Osmani official for the June 7 elections

The Democratic League of Kosovo has formalized the agreement to run jointly with Vjosa Osmani in the June 7 early parliamentary elections.

The decision was made during the meeting of the LDK General Council, where the party's chairman, Lumir Abdixhiku, confirmed that Osmani will be the bearer of the electoral list and the proposed candidate for president, while he himself will run for the post of prime minister.

According to Abdixhiku, the decision was approved unanimously and the LDK electoral list will also include 19 candidates proposed by Osmani.

Among the names expected to join this political project are Fahrie Hoti, Jeta Statovci and Albena Reshitaj.

Osmani was one of the most voted figures in the LDK before leaving the party, and then ran in coalition with Albin Kurti and the Vetëvendosje Movement in the 2021 elections. After that, she founded the political entity Lista Guxo and was elected president of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the LVV has also once again officially announced Kurti as its candidate for prime minister in the June 7 elections. During the party's General Council meeting, Kurti declared that he aims to receive 60 percent of the votes in these elections.

LVV has also confirmed the continuation of the coalition with Lista Guxo, Alternativa and the Albanian Democratic Christian Party./ CNA
