The Alert Center has raised the alarm about meat from Brazil being imported into Kosovo from facilities that are not approved by the European Union, compromising food safety and putting the lives of consumers at risk.

According to the Alert Center, consumers have been deceived over the years by the AUVA, which constantly declares that the meat comes from EU-approved establishments.

The Alert Center has emphasized that hundreds of tons of meat, sausages, sausages, meatballs and burgers made with meat originating from Brazil are coming to Albania through Kosovo.

Although Albania does not allow the import of meat from Brazil from facilities that are not certified by the EU, food safety is violated by meat imported into Albania through Kosovo, with altered documents, offering it as a “Made in Kosovo” product. But in reality, the origin is Brazil.

"Brazilian meat is imported into Kosovo from establishments that are not approved by the EU, seriously compromising food safety and the health of consumers, who have been deceived for years by the FVA, which regularly declared that the meat comes from EU-approved establishments. But what happens in reality? The FVA admits that there is no legislation that prohibits imports from unapproved establishments. Millions of kilograms of beef are imported into Kosovo every year from establishments that are not approved by the EU.

Meanwhile, hundreds of tons of meat, sausages, meatballs and burgers made with meat originating from Brazil are coming to Albania via Kosovo. Although Albania does not allow the import of meat from Brazil from establishments that are not certified by the EU, food safety is 'broken' by meat that is imported into Albania via Kosovo, with altered documents, offering it as a 'Made in Kosovo' product...
