The end of La Liga depresses Egnatia, the Rogozhina players lose 200 thousand euros

Egnatia's club leaders were obviously left disappointed as they watched this afternoon's La Liga Championship results. Results which have taken away from the hands of the Rrogozhin club a fat figure of 200 thousand euros.

It's all about the positioning of Sevilla, who actually finished the league in 12th place with today's 2-1 loss against Real Sociedad. The success of the Andalusians in the Europa League ensured them participation in the Champions League in the next edition anyway. But Egnatia was interested in Seville ending the championship in 7th place.

If such a thing were to happen today, Spain would lose the team participating in the Conference League and with the shifting of teams from one round to another according to the UEFA scheme, the winner of the Albanian Cup would also benefit. She would go from the first qualifying round of the tournament, to the second qualifying round, and of course with more significant financial benefits.

Thus, Egnatia would benefit at least 450,000 euros, instead of 250,000 guaranteed by participating in the first qualifying round. But unfortunately this did not happen and Sevilla finished only 4 points away from the 7th place which was secured by Osasuna.
