After the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, the Hemodynamics Service will be expanded to the "Shefqet Ndroqi" University Hospital also for emergencies.

The news was given by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, during a meeting with the medical staff of the "Shefqet Ndroqi" Hospital.

"Today we are for another good job at the "Shefqet Ndroqi" University Hospital, to expand the Hemodynamics Service. Thanks to the work of the doctors, the reinforcement with cardiologist staff and hemodynamicists in this hospital, we will increase our capacities to perform heart interventions. In addition to scheduled interventions, we already have the capacity to receive a 24-hour load, to provide a service for emergencies as well, starting with Mondays as well as at 07:00-15:00 per day others, for all emergencies in this hospital, for the areas of Elbasan, Durrës and Korça, starting from May", said Manastirliu.

During the meeting with the doctors, nurses and administration staff at this hospital, Manastirliu underlined that apart from the salary increase in May, the plan for the targeted salary increase will continue in 2024.

"Salaries will increase from May. For specialist doctors the increase will be 50,000 new lek per month, while for general doctors and nurses it will be 7% this year and in 2024 we have planned another targeted increase , another increase for these two categories, in order to have a dignified salary increase. The entire salary increase reform benefits over 22,000 health workers, including doctors, nurses, medical science technicians and also our administrative workers. For the employees of the administration, this increase is quite significant, it ranges from 25-50%", Manastirliu emphasized.

After the opening of the Hemodynamic Service and then the Cardiosurgery Service at the "Shefqet Ndroqi" University Hospital, the emergency service for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome will be opened for the first time.

In addition to the 24/7 service at QSUT, the emergency service for cardiac interventions will be 24 hours every Monday at "Shefqet Ndroqi" Hospital, as well as emergencies will be received every day between 07:00 and 15:00 for Coronary Syndrome Acute for citizens who have an urgent indication to perform angiography/angioplasty according to the coverage areas referred by the national emergency. Currently, the hemodynamics service is offered in 4 public hospitals QSUT, "Shefqet Ndroqi" Hospital, Fier Memorial Hospital and Shkodër Regional Hospital, and thanks to this diversification of the provision of this service in the south, north and center, coronary interventions in our country have been further consolidated , offering this service for free and meeting the needs of citizens for this vital service, close to the residence./ CNA.al
