Another case of success was handled by the team of cardiologists, under the direction of Dr. Maksim Llambro.

Urimi, 36 years old from Kukësi, was presented late in the evening at the Emergency Department of Hygeia Hospital in a very serious state of health and multi-organ failure, especially with severe hepatic failure and Anuri (absence of urine), which came as a result of the lack of supply liver and kidney with blood. The patient was diagnosed with Dissection of the Aorta walls. The aorta is the main and most important artery in the human body and is responsible for transporting blood from the heart to all organs and systems of the body. Among the most dangerous diseases affecting the aorta is Aortic Dissection, which is also considered one of the most urgent medical conditions.

Based on the very serious condition of the patient, where the liver tests turned out to be more than 1000 times higher, the team of cardiologists under the direction of Dr. Maksim Llambros in cooperation with the anesthesiologists under the direction of Dr. Blerim Arapi, decided to intervene immediately in emergency conditions, given that the patient was in danger of life.

The patient underwent surgery to repair the dissection by placing an Endoprosthesis in the proximal segment of the dissected (torn) area of ??the aorta, which was performed completely percutaneously (without incision).

The intervention was successful, without medical complications and without compromising the flow of large vessels originating in the area of ??endoprosthesis implantation.

After a few days of staying in intensive care, the patient improved significantly both from a clinical and biochemical point of view, i.e. there was a significant improvement in liver and kidney parameters, regaining full functions./ CNA.al
