The World Health Organization from a study of its own reflects that 50% of the world's population have dental problems. Meanwhile, in Albania, 1 in 3 Albanians over 60 years old have no teeth.

According to published data, Albanians suffer the most from tooth decay, which afflicts 48.6% of children aged 1 to 9 years. Thus, Albania is ranked the fourth country in Europe for problems with dental caries.

14.9% of adults over 15 years old in Albania have various problems with oral health, while in Europe Denmark leads, followed by Germany and Norway.

Regarding people over 60 years old in Albania, it turns out that 33.7% of them have lost all their teeth.

WHO estimates that oral health is a major problem in Europe. They blame the low care for oral hygiene, the consumption of sugary foods and drinks, smoking and alcohol, as well as the many traumas that lead to tooth loss./ CNA.al
