The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, has held a meeting with specialist doctors who are completing their studies this year, who do not have a contract with the Ministry of Health, informing them of the employment opportunities in the public health sector. .

"Today I requested this meeting with you to invite you to become part of the public health system in our hospitals throughout the country, from north to south, the doors are open for you and your colleagues, the doctors who have already specialized in together with you and have a contract with the Ministry of Health, according to the needs of the country, being attached to our regional and municipal hospitals", said Minister Manastirliu in her speech.

Speaking about investments in the health system which, as the Minister of Health said, are tangible in hospitals and polyclinics, Manastirliu also spoke about the increase in salaries in the health sector.

"The historic salary increase for specialist doctors is also a motivation for young doctors to give the best of themselves. The salary increase for specialist doctors with 50,000 new lek is a support that increases the level of professionals and also engages more the dedicated force in the public health system. We will continue to increase salaries for 2024 for family doctors and nurses with targeted support, just like we did with specialist doctors", Manastirliu stressed.

About 200 medical specialists have completed their specialization this year. 60 of them will be attached to regional hospitals, with a contract with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, while for the other 140 specialist doctors, employment alternatives will be guaranteed in public health structures from north to south./ CNA.al
