The Cardiology Service opens at the Central Hospital/ Manastirliu: New equipment

The Cardiology Service is opened at the Central Hospital at QSUT. On the opening day of this important service, which the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu considered the heart of the new hospital, a special ceremony was held for the naming of the Cardiac Resuscitation Clinic "Anesti Kondili".

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, emphasized that this service, thanks to the investment and equipment with high-tech equipment, will increase the quality of treatment and service to citizens.

"Today is the opening of cardiology services, the hemodynamics unit and cardiology resuscitation in this Central Hospital. These services have a capacity of 116 beds in pavilions, 20 intensive care beds and 3 angiographs and new equipment that is expected to increase and more the quality of the service, from diagnosis, to invasive treatments, to new treatments," she said.

During the naming ceremony of Cardiology Reanimation in honor of prof. Anesti Kondili, the Minister of Health and Social Protection and the leaders of the cardiology service, have appreciated the figure of the well-known cardiologist prof. Anesti Kondil, as the founder of this delicate service.

"We decided at the beginning that the new hospital should be called the Central Hospital, because in fact this hospital is the heart of medicine, it is the center of gravity of medical sciences, but on the other hand it is the space that unites so many contributors, unites the most of the luminaries of Albanian medicine in a single center, in the new Central Hospital at QSUT. Today we have gathered to name one of the most delicate services, Cardiology Resuscitation Prof. Anesti Kondili. With the naming of Prof. Kondili we appreciate his precious work, the intellectual and human investment in a service he founded himself, that of cardiac resuscitation", said Manastirliu.

Cardiology Services 1 and 2 have recently been transferred to the Central Hospital at QSUT. The capacities of these two services are 116 beds. To strengthen the Hemodynamics Cabinet in the new Hospital, the third angiography (CathLab), a high-tech medical device, has been installed.

Currently, the Hemodynamic Service at QSUT is the only service in public hospital institutions that treats cardiac emergencies 24/7 with a volume of 5,790 interventions per year (pacemaker, angiography, angioplasty). The transfer of services to the new hospital is expected to be completed with the transfer of the Multipurpose Emergency Service in the coming days./ CNA.al
