Xhafaj raises his voice in the Commission/ It's time to say

The former Minister of the Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, spoke in strong tones today at the meeting of the Committee for Legal Affairs, where the evaluation of the annual activity of the KLJ for 2021 was also made.

Xhafaj emphasized during his speech, that it is absurd that in the third year of its function, the Council still has not closed the regulations that the law obliges.

Xhafaj also said that the moment has come to raise expectations towards the Council and we have the right to ask for this.

" The Council was not created today... There are some things that we should be careful when they include in the document. The council has the duty to come here once a year and when we ask. In the meantime, we want to help this governing body that is still in its first steps. Compared to the High Prosecution Council, we can say that the High Judicial Council has incomparable merits, compared to expectations, there is room for discussion. The council needs necessary strategies to inform the public. Today the Council does not have one. In my opinion, the Council should conclude all legal acts. It is absurd that in the third year of its function, the Council still has not closed the regulations that the law obliges. The moment has come to say stop" , said Xhafaj.
