"On Saturday, citizens showed resistance"/ Këlliçi:

Democratic Party MP Belind Këllicci spoke this evening regarding the opposition's national protest that was held on January 24. Invited to "Opinion", Këllicci said that the reaction of citizens was strong and according to him, it was the first time he had stood in front of the police.

Among other things, the MP also announced that the next protest will be called within this week, which according to him will be even more massive than Saturday's protest.

"We have requested an interpellation with the Minister of the Interior why expired gas cylinders were allowed to be used and who gave the order to use them. This was the first time that citizens, young people took gas cylinders and threw them back at the police. This is resistance. The request not to leave was from the citizens. This is the level of determination of the citizens who refused to leave.

"The next protest will be called within this week and it will be even more energetic. As soon as the leader of the DP returns from Strasbourg, the next protest will be called. Because the citizens do not want to stop anymore. The participation has been extraordinary. There is much higher determination," said Këlliçi. /CNA
