Prime Minister Edi Rama thanked the Netherlands today for the positions taken regarding the opening of negotiations for Albania with the EU.

In the joint conference with the Dutch Prime Minister, Rama said that he understood that the criticism of the Netherlands was serious for the fulfillment of obligations.

The head of the government emphasized that the Dutch counterpart, Mark Rutte, is trying to push the Balkans towards Europe.

Among the jokes, Rama declared that Rutte has taught him to love the European Union more.

“Të shpreh mirënjohjen e vërtetë për Holandën, për qëndrimin e tyre të rreptë, me mbështetjen e tyre në terren përmes një programi Matra, që ka bërë ndryshimin në çuarjen para të Reformës në Drejtësi, që ka forcuar marrëdhënien tinë, në fund ne kuptuam që Holanda ishte serioze lidhur me kriticizmin e saj, por edhe Holanda e kuptoi që ne ishim seriozë në përmbushjen e detyrimeve tona.
