Protests against the government/ Minister: Citizens have political demands, not

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, shared today a position regarding the several-day protests against the government.

In a television studio, Ibrahimaj said that everything started with footage of the clashes in Zvërnec, which later took on wider dimensions.

According to the minister, the protest has currently advanced into political demands that are not related to the Zvërnec project.

"We have expressed it since the first day of the protest, which is a citizen's protest and they have their right to protest. It started as a protest incited by some images that for me as a citizen, as a minister, were horrific images of a person being raped, which we certainly took immediate measures and I understand the incitement of the protest. In the first days, the project was articulated, which was undoubtedly unknown to most of the people protesting. Then the prime minister explained all the steps that the project had followed or the request to have a project and a development in that area, and in the meantime the protest has advanced with other requests that are not related to the project. These are all requests that are political and not related to the project," the minister said. /CNA
