"Protest, the most beautiful image of a living society"/ Meta:

President Ilir Meta commented on the protest held the day before in Tirana.

In a post on social networks, Meta described yesterday's protest as the most beautiful image of a living society, while adding that the negligence of institutions in the face of corruption cannot be justified.

"The massive peaceful demonstration organized yesterday in Tirana by the opposition and activists of the Albanian civil society was the most beautiful image of a living society and a democracy in action.

Kauzat e vërteta dhe të drejta, që u ngritën gjatë kësaj proteste, duhet të zgjojnë të gjitha institucionet pa vonesë.

Nuk mund të ketë asnjë justifikim ndaj palëvizshmërisë së organeve të drejtësisë pas megaskandaleve korruptive, që vazhdojnë të zbulohen dhe denoncohen çdo ditë.

Nuk mund të mbulohet me asnjë fantazi varfëria e skajshme, që po i detyron shqiptarët të mërgojnë plot dëshpërim.

Uroj që zëri qytetar të dëgjohet dhe kuptohet si duhet, duke nxitur llogaridhënien në të gjitha nivelet, së bashku me marrjen e përgjegjësive si detyrim ligjor dhe njëkohësisht politik.

Përshëndes gjithashtu qëndrimin e vendosur të opozitës shqiptare në mbështetje të nisjes së negociatave të anëtarësimit të Shqipërisë në Bashkimin Europian, dhe të forcimit të bashkëpunimit rajonal në kuadër të Procesit të Berlinit.
