PD MP Ina Zhupa described the July 7 protest as a kind of test to understand how this opposition is doing.

The massiveness of the protest, according to the democratic deputy, showed the faith in the alternative of the Democratic Party, the revolt against the government, but also reconfirmed the role of Berisha at the head of the largest opposition party in the country.

“Në shesh kishte edhe qytetarë pa parti, socialistë të ndershëm. Misionarë të lirisë, që zgjodhën alternativën që drejton aktualisht PD, Sali Berishën si drejtues. Ishte nje test protesta e djeshme. Dje ishim të shumtë. Ishte e bashkuar PD në bazën e vet. Kishte vetëm disa mungesa në grupin parlamentar”, tha Zhupa. Për emisionin “Radari Informativ”.

Sa i përket prezencës dhe rolit të LSI në protestë, Zhupa theksoi se ata janë aty ku duhet të jenë si partia e dytë më e madhe opozitare. Sipas saj edhe kthimi i Ilir Metës pas 24 korrikut do t’i bëjë mirë opozitarizmit.

“Do të kenë një alkimi të mirë me Berishën. Arratisja e kryeministrit për të gjetur një strehë në Vlorë, ndërkohë që ne ishim në Tiranë tregon se ai ka frikë.”

Por a u mbush sheshi me qytetarë të ardhur nga rrethet siç aludoi kryebashkiaku Erion Veliaj?

"These are absurdities that only Lali Eri can say. There is no one to say that Tirana is satisfied with the locals or the executive."

As for the attitude of the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, and some other deputies of the group who were absent, Zhupa says that they chose not to be on the side of the citizens. /CNA.al
