Murrizi: Parties in coalition with the DP received 8 MPs and public funds

Former MP Myslim Murrizi has harshly criticized the parties that are in coalition with the Democratic Party, emphasizing that they have benefited without reaching the 1% electoral threshold.

Through a post on social media, Murrzi writes that these parties have benefited from 8 parliamentary mandates and 640,000 euros from Albanian taxes in the May 11 elections, although, according to him, they do not have sufficient support from voters.

"Since 2001, for 25 years and 7 parliamentary elections, these parties have received deputies from the DP and public funds without really facing the voters," writes Murrizi.

The former MP also criticizes future plans to increase the number of parties without members and without votes, stating that this comes at the expense of the Democrats and aims to increase the number of individuals who receive salaries from the budget as party leaders.

Murrizi ends the post with a question: "What do you think, do these parties have real votes to get MPs, or are their leaders simply there to benefit from about 5,000 euros per month from the budget?" /CNA
