The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, stated that if the citizens did not want the Transparency Board, it would be the simplest thing for this board to be dissolved.

Balluku gave the statement in an interview for Euronews Albania, where he added that the government was forced to keep the board, to maintain the prices.

"We are forced to have this board, just to maintain the price ceiling and not allow this price to go higher. If the citizens did not want this board, it would definitely be the simplest action, to gather at the last meeting and dissolve this board after it has performed its duty and kept this award as much as it could", she said.

According to Balluk, no one enjoys being on this board and affecting the free market, but he emphasized that we are living in times of crisis.
