The General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, during a meeting with the party structures in Unit 6, commented on the opposition protest held on July 7.

Gjiknuri compared the protest of the democrats with that of the Macedonian opposition, against EU integration. 

"We are witnesses of the changes that have taken place, but these did not come by chance. We must never leave them in between. Who should we leave it to, those who come to the square? They assume that the other will legitimize himself, that's the problem. Not that he expects to gain power from the street. Sometimes they even seem coordinated to me, because the Opposition in Macedonia is protesting against European integration, it seems as if there is a connection. This is what our gentleman does here in Tirana. I do not want to make conspiracies, but coincidences are not things that should be avoided. So there is a coincidence with a concrete plan, however, I don't want to make big speculations, but this is exactly the kind of opposition we have. We must stop them with our strength by organizing the party", said Gjiknuri. /CNA.al
