Malaj: 2 billion lek additional financing through the normative act for farmers

The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, stated today that a normative act foresees the transfer of all unused funds at the close of the 2025 budget for several areas.

In his speech in the Assembly, Malaj said that from this additional funding, farmers will benefit to the tune of 2 billion lek.

from the Parliament podium stated that Albania currently has the lowest level of public debt since 2010, describing this as an indicator of fiscal stability.

"This initiative aims to create sustainable spaces for supporting pensioners, without jeopardizing fiscal balances.

We have additional funding through this normative act for farmers in the amount of 2 billion lek, with the aim of covering all requests of applicants for the support scheme who meet the criteria for support measures for 2025.

The total allocated fund for 2025 from which farmers have directly benefited amounts to 6.4 billion lek. This is 1.1 billion lek more than in 2024. The realization of the fund for support schemes is 90%. While for oil compensation it is 93%", - declared Malaj./ CNA
