The first intergovernmental conference/ Varhelyi: We are waiting for good news

EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi is in Vlora, accompanied by Prime Minister Edi Rama, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, where they inspected the Vlora bypass, a project built with financial assistance from the European Union.

Varhelyi has emphasized that Albania has progressed a lot and is ready to start the First Intergovernmental Conference.

He also emphasized that from this Conference there will be good news regarding the negotiations for Albania's membership in the EU.

" Previous generations have not given what they should have given. There is no economy, society without interconnections, without trade routes, routes that facilitate trade. We want to be important in our support so that we are together with the region to walk forward. We have done a lot of work during this time, and in all this work that has been done we are reducing air pollution. It used to take hours and hours to go 20 km in the city. We will see many vehicles on this road heavy that will pass here.

For us, connection and communication with each other is one of the most important issues.

This is part of corridor 8. I am very proud of our partners. Without our partners this would not be possible. Therefore, this shows how important the work we do to each other is.

This road was not made for us, but for the common good. I express that this will be the first of the things we do together.

The economic investment plan has been started for two years and we need to speed things up. I encourage Albania to speed up the work in this field as well. Albania has come a long way.
