The member of the Bundestag, Adis Ahmetovic, stated that next week there may be a technical opening of the negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia.

At a press conference, Ahmetovic said that things about integration are complicated by the EU.

“Nuk arritëm të hapnim negociatat për Shqipërinë dhe Maqedoninë. Gjërat janë të ndërlikuara nga BE, jo nga ju. Shqipëria, Kosova, Maqedonia kanë bërë shumë. Pas vizitës këtu do të takohem me anëtarë të qeverisë për të gjetur zgjidhje e për të hedhur hapin e radhës, ndoshta edhe për një lajm të mirë javën tjetër. Mund të nisin negociatat teknike. Për të stabilizuar rajonin na duhet një Shqipëri e një Maqedoni e fortë”, u shpreh ai.

Më tej, deputeti i Bundestagut deklaroi se "Ballkani i Hapur" është një element i procesit të Berlinit.

“Sholci ka një interes të madh për Ballkanin Perëndimor e quan pjesë të familjes europiane. Procesi i Berlinit është mesazh për vendet e Ballkanit që Shqipëria do ketë koordimin me 6 vendet. Çdo ide për të lidhur 6 vendet është e mirë. Në krye të bashkëpunimit është procesi i Berlinit, 'Ballkani i Hapur' është vetëm një pjesë e Berlinit. Këtë vit kancelari do zhvillojë një takim me udhëheqësit e Ballkanit Perëndimor. Duhet t’i japim një shans 'Open Ballkan', por është vetëm një element i saj.

Albania did not stop working in this direction. The Albanian government and parties have full support for the European agenda.
