The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused the government of immigration and diaspora, during an online meeting with 35 Albanian dignitaries, who live in different countries of the world.

Berisha said that Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government have excluded immigration and the diaspora from the political plane in Albania.

He emphasized that Rama has not closed the borders, but has not allowed immigrants to vote.

"In my deepest conviction, your contribution, the commitment of emigration and the diaspora to give an answer to this really critical situation in which the country is, is necessary, but no less necessary is also the recognition of your role in the developments of this country.

De facto, on the political level, immigration and the diaspora are the great excluded from Albania. Albania does not close its borders to immigration and the diaspora as it used to, but it has not allowed your vote, it has not established that necessary cooperation for its development and for the progress of Albanians.
