5 thefts solved in Durrës/ 37-year-old arrested

Durrës Police have solved a series of thefts that occurred in the coastal city. The thefts were found to have been committed by the same person, 37-year-old VK, who was arrested.

The arrested person rode a bicycle in different neighborhoods of the city of Durrës, broke vehicle windows and stole the personal belongings of vehicle drivers, and then used his vehicle to hide and transport the stolen items.

The 37-year-old had stolen sums of money, laptops and other personal belongings of the drivers of these vehicles from 5 vehicles.

Police notification

The police operation codenamed "Reflex" is being finalized to solve the thefts that occurred previously.

He rode his bicycle around different neighborhoods of the city of Durrës, broke vehicle windows and stole the personal belongings of vehicle drivers, and then used his vehicle to hide and transport the stolen items. The perpetrator was identified and arrested.

The 37-year-old from Tirana, the perpetrator of 5 burglaries, is suspected of having committed several other thefts, and work to solve them continues.

Continuing the work to prevent thefts, uncover those that occurred previously, identify and capture the perpetrators, the services of the Durrës Police Commissariat, after a long investigative work, based on information obtained through operational means and from the management of film footage, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Reflex".

As part of the operation, citizen VK, 37 years old, resident of Tirana, was caught red-handed while attempting to steal a vehicle, and was placed in handcuffs.

The investigative actions have resulted in the fact that this citizen is the perpetrator of several vehicle thefts, which occurred in neighborhoods no. 6, 8 and 12 of the city of Durrës.

This citizen stole from 5 vehicles, owned by citizens Xh. B., JB, SQ, LK and Xh. M., amounts of money, laptops and other personal belongings of the drivers of these vehicles.

In cooperation with the Prosecution, investigative actions continue to uncover and document with legal evidence several other thefts that occurred previously, which are suspected to have been committed by this citizen.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action./CNA
