The event that happened yesterday afternoon, in the village of Menkulas, where a citizen tried to kill a 73-year-old man with a strong tool (axe) is clarified.

Thanks to the investigative actions of the Police, the suspected author of the event, which was initially reported as an accidental event, was identified and arrested.

Shtetasi i dëmtuar V. B., 73 vjeç, banues në fshatin Menkulas, Devoll, ka deklaruar fillimisht përpara oficerit të policisë gjyqësore se ishte rrëzuar aksidentalisht, në oborrin e banesës së tij.

Thanks to in-depth investigations, within the coded police operation "Menkulas", it became possible to clarify the circumstances of this event. From the evidence provided by the investigation, it turned out that the VB citizen, 62 years old, resident of Bilisht, Devoll, for weak motives, had hit the 73-year-old man on the head with a strong tool (axe), who will be transported from the hospital Korça at the Tirana Trauma Hospital, for specialized treatment.

Following the procedural actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Devoll Police Station arrested in the act the citizen VB, 62 years old, resident of Bilisht, Devoll, for the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder", remaining in the attempt.
