More than 13 kilograms of heroin are seized in the Port of Durrës

The Border Police Services, in the wake of consecutive operations for the prevention, identification and suppression of illegal traffic attempts, as a result of the intensification of control, based on risk analysis and information intelligence, have passed for detailed control in Vienna the second, the "Durrës-Milano" line bus.

From a detailed check, in cooperation with the specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Durrës, and the customs authorities, using modern control techniques, the Police services have found hidden in the back of the bus, 26 packages of wrapped with natriban, inside which there were suspected heroin narcotics with a total weight of 13 kilograms and 750 grams, which was seized as material evidence.

Following the first investigative actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Durres have arrested the following citizens in the act:

- MP, 32 years old, resident of Rrogozhinë, owner of the "Durrës-Milano" bus company;

- PR, 57 years old, resident of Fier, the driver of the bus where the narcotics were found.

During the physical check, a dose of the narcotic substance cocaine was found on the MP citizen.

Also, 8 mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

Meanwhile, the investigative structures of DVP Durrës, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, continue the work for the complete clarification of this case, for the identification and arrest of other citizens implicated in this case.
