From Ecuador to Turkey/ 25.8 kg of cocaine are seized, two Albanians are in

25.8 kilograms of cocaine were seized in an operation carried out by the Customs teams of the Ministry of Trade in a port in Aliaga.

Two people, one from Albania and the other from Kosovo, were arrested during this operation.

"Teams of the Alia?a Regional Headquarters linked to the Directorate of Contraband and Customs Intelligence of Izmir found a container coming from Ecuador to Turkey as suspicious. The container was sent for x-ray scanning. As a result of the scan, suspicious materials were seen in some areas. In the control, where narcotics detection dogs were involved, suspicious packages of drugs were discovered. From the measurements made with drug analysis kits, it was established that the substance was cocaine. 25.8 kilograms of cocaine were seized in the container. As part of the investigations carried out by the Alia?a Public Prosecutor's Office, the Albanian citizen AS and the Kosovar citizen BL were detained," the Turkish police announced . /CNA.al
