Wanted in Kosovo for drug cultivation/ 49-year-old arrested

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man in Tirana as part of the "Operacionalja" operation.

The arrested person was wanted after the Basic Court of Gjakova in February of this year ordered him to be placed under the security measure of "Arrest in prison", on charges of drug cultivation.

His arrest was made with the aim of extradition to Kosovo.

State Police/The police operation codenamed "Operation 69" is finalized.

An Albanian citizen, accused of cultivating narcotic plants in Kosovo, was arrested in Tirana by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force.

As a result of the exchange of information and close partnership with law enforcement agencies in Kosovo, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate of the General Directorate of the State Police, arrested in Tirana, within the framework of the operation "Operacionalja 69", citizen O. Sh., 49 years old, born in Tepelena.

 

He was declared wanted because the Basic Court of Gjakova, in February 2025, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".

 

Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in Kosovo to finalize the extradition procedure for the 49-year-old.
