Berat Police have finalized Operation "Network", where a 49-year-old man, who was wanted internationally, was arrested.

The arrested person turned out to be an internationally wanted person after the Court of Naples sentenced him to 29 years in prison for drug trafficking and criminal organization.

A 53-year-old man who was sheltering the wanted person in Kuçova was also arrested.

The operation, by the Berat Police Department, in cooperation with the Kuçovë Police Commissariat and the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the DPPSh.

Sentenced in Naples to 29 years in prison for participation in a criminal organization for drug trafficking, the 49-year-old is arrested.

A 53-year-old man who was sheltering an internationally wanted citizen in Kuçova has been arrested in flagrante delicto.

A quantity of Cannabis was found in this apartment.

As a result of well-organized operational work, carried out by the Berat Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Kuçovë Police Commissariat and the DFPO, under the direction of the Berat Prosecutor's Office, operation "Network" was finalized.

As part of the operation, the following were arrested:

-internationally wanted citizen, Armando Pjetri, 49 years old;

-citizen AH, 53 years old, resident of Kuçovë, for the criminal offenses "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

The Court of Appeal in Naples has sentenced the 49-year-old, who was sheltered by the 53-year-old, to 29 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.

In the apartment where the internationally wanted citizen was staying, in the "1 Maji" neighborhood, a quantity of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa was found and was seized as material evidence.

Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with Interpol Rome to finalize the procedure for the extradition of citizen Armando Pjetri to Italy. Meanwhile, the procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action.
