New details have come to light after the arrest of Viola Sterjos, who was put in handcuffs after being accused of the criminal offense of "fraud".

Sterjo is suspected of defrauding 5 subjects, receiving sums ranging from tens of thousands of euros, writes Euronews.

It is further said that on December 12, 2022, a complaint was made to the Korca prosecutor's office by a citizen who had a property in Voskopoja and wanted to build a hotel there.

Through an acquaintance, the citizen had met Viola Sterjon, an employee of ANA at the time, who had promised him that she would intervene in AZHBR to get a grand.

In the beginning, the informant gave Sterjo 57 thousand euros and 1 million ALL. But Sterjo's deception does not end there.

Another citizen from Pogradec has also filed a complaint that he gave her various amounts, such as 9 and 28 thousand euros, so that she intervened in the AZHBR to obtain a grant of 1.2 million euros for a hostel.

Then another whistleblower says that he gave Sterjo 160,000 euros after she promised him a grant of 2.2 million euros, writes Euronews. / CNA.al
