The show "Fiks Fare" denounced two doctors in Durrës on Tuesday evening, one of whom, abusing her duty, provided a citizen with a medical recommendation, while the other doctor accepted a sum of money in exchange for completing a patient's report.

The police have prosecuted, SD, 34 years old, resident of Durrës, as a General Practitioner at Health Center No. 5 also - GG, 51 years old, who completed the patient's report without determining the diagnosis against 5000 ALL.

"One of them, abusing her duty, provided a citizen with a medical recommendation, while the other doctor accepted a sum of money in exchange for filling out a document for a patient.

The investigative structures of the DVP Durrës, immediately after the broadcast of a case, yesterday evening, in the investigative show "Fiks Fare", where 2 citizens, doctors in different hospital institutions of the Durrës district, were shown performing their duties in violation of the law, referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizens:

-SD, 34 years old, resident in Durrës, as it is suspected that by abusing his duties as a General Practitioner in the Health Center No. 5, Durrës, provided a medical recommendation to a patient (citizen infiltrated by the staff of the investigative show), who was neither present during the visit nor a resident of the area covered by services, the health center where the 34-year-old worked;

- GG, 51 years old, resident in Durrës, after allegedly filling out a document for determining the medical diagnosis of a patient (citizen infiltrated by the staff of the investigative show), in exchange for the sum of money 5000 ALL.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further investigative actions, for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions".

The Local Directorate of the Durrës Police thanks the media and citizens who denounce cases of various illegalities, as well as assures them that the local and central structures of the Police will react immediately with the aim of bringing the perpetrators to justice, before legal responsibility is written in the police announcement. ./CNA.al
