Convicted in Italy for violent relationships/ 46-year-old arrested for extradition in Tropoja

A 46-year-old citizen was captured and arrested today in the village of Fierzë, Tropoja, for extradition purposes.

Citizen Vladimir Rama was declared an international wanted person after being sentenced in Italy to 6 years in prison for sexual assault.

His arrest came at the conclusion of the police operation codenamed "Alert".

The services of the Tropoja Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to locate and capture citizens declared nationally and internationally wanted, based on information obtained through operational channels, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Alert", as a result of which the citizen was captured and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy:

Vladimir Rama, 46 years old, resident of the village of Fierzë, Tropojë.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Court of Appeal of Trieste, Italy, sentenced him to 6 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Forced sexual intercourse".

Interpol Tirana will carry out the procedures in cooperation with Interpol Rome, for the extradition of this citizen to Italy./CNA
