Gentian Malindi, arrested some time ago on charges brought by SPAK that he is the supplier of 137 kg of cocaine seized in 2019 in the Port of Durrës, has been sentenced to 8.8 years in prison.
Malindi requested summary judgment, which was accepted by GJKKO.
The trial against him had started in absentia with a summary trial, while it had been suspended for a year because he could not be arrested by the authorities.
He was arrested on Thursday, October 27, 2022, near Vora, while another proceeding has started against Malindi, which is being developed at the Criminal Court of Tirana. /CNA.al
