Details from the fire at the sponge factory in Elbasan/ Police suspicions about the cause

Elbasan police have revealed details about the fire in the sponge factory in the village of Katund i Ri in Elbasan.

According to preliminary information, the factory that was engulfed in flames is owned by citizen FB, 53 years old, a resident of "Dyli Haxhire" neighborhood, Elbasan.

It is suspected that the fire occurred as a result of a defect in the electrical system of this business facility.

" Around 10:20 a.m., in the village of Katund i Ri, Elbasan, there was a fire in a private entity (sponge production factory), owned by the citizen FB, 53 years old, resident of the "Dyli Haxhire" neighborhood, Elbasan. As a result, only material damage was caused.

Initially, it is suspected that the fire occurred as a result of a defect in the electrical system of this business facility.

The fire services continue to work to extinguish the fire.

The investigative group is at the scene, with the aim of clarifying the cause of the fire" , the police announced./ CNA.al
