This Sunday it was reported that in Kukës posters of the current mayor of Kukës and once the SP candidate for the May 14 elections, Safet Gjici, were damaged.

The police managed to identify the perpetrators and announced that the citizens of RD and SC, both residents of Kukës, were criminally prosecuted.

"They damaged 2 posters of a political subject, the Police identified and prosecuted the 2 suspected perpetrators.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Kukës Police Station, after receiving notification that around 12:00, in the city of Kukës, unidentified citizens had damaged 2 posters of a political entity, immediately went to the scene.

Thanks to the information obtained during the operation, it became possible to identify the suspected perpetrators.

At the end of the first procedural actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Kukës Police Station criminally prosecuted the citizens of RD, and SC, both residents of Kukës, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property".

The procedural materials will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Kukas Judicial District Court for further action," the police announcement reads./CNA.al
