Criminal proceedings are underway against the driver of the truck with the explosives, which spread across the Grand Ring Road, creating chaos and heavy traffic.

The truck driver, citizen AN, 41 years old, resident of Kruja, is accused of the criminal offense of "Destroying roads".

Also, this citizen was punished with an administrative fine of 200,000 lek, his driving license was suspended and his traffic permit was revoked.

Announcement:

The Traffic Police Services have observed in Mjull Bathore, the "IVECO" type truck, driven by citizen AN, circulating with an unsecured load.

The verifications showed that the vehicle had altered construction and functional characteristics in violation of the technical and legal norms in force.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated at large against citizen AN, 41 years old, resident of Kruja, for the criminal offense of "Destroying roads".

He was also punished with an administrative fine of 200,000 lek, his driving license was suspended, and his traffic permit was revoked.

The Tirana Local Police Directorate appeals for respect for road traffic rules, especially by drivers of heavy vehicles, in order to prevent accidents. /CNA
