A 23-year-old Albanian man ended up in police custody, after he was caught traveling with a stolen passport that he bought on TikTok.

He was sentenced to six months in prison after trying to fly to Dublin.

It is about Jurgen Qukun, 23 years old, who appeared before the court today, and was accused of using a passport that was given to another person.

Inspektori i policisë Christian Abela i tha gjykatës se Quku ishte arrestuar mëngjesin e djeshëm në aeroport pasi zyrtarët e imigracionit vunë re se i akuzuari po përpiqej të përdorte pasaportën e një burri tjetër për të hipur në një fluturim për në Dublin.

Quku tha në polici se ishte larguar nga Shqipëria dhe kishte kaluar në Greqi në këmbë për shkak të ndalimit të udhëtimit. Pas një jave në Greqi, ai kishte blerë një pasaportë holandeze të vjedhur nga një shitës në TikTok dhe e përdori atë për të udhëtuar në Maltë.

Avokati Mark Mifsud Cutajar, duke ndihmuar të akuzuarin si ndihmë juridike, informoi gjykatën se klienti i tij dëshironte të pranonte fajësinë.

Due to his cooperation with the police, the Albanian was sentenced to six months in prison, where the court ordered that he be released immediately after serving the sentence.
