The police disclosed the details of the coded operation "Tufina", in which eight people were arrested, and two others were declared wanted.

"Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Corruption in Tirana DVP, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana, after several months of real investigative work, successfully organized and finalized the coded police operation "Tufina", in the framework of which citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

- E. N., 32 vjeç, me detyrë Drejtor i Agjencisë së Shërbimeve Funerale të Bashkisë Tiranë, për veprat penale “Korrupsioni pasiv i punonjësve që ushtrojnë funksione publike”, “Ushtrimi i ndikimit i paligjshëm ndaj personave që ushtrojnë funksione publike” dhe “Shpërdorimi i detyrës”;

- Xh. M., 61 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës i Sektorit të Varrezave Tufinë, në Agjencinë e Shërbimeve Funerale të Bashkisë Tiranë, për veprën penale “Shpërdorimi i detyrës”;

- L. Sh., 63 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës i Sektorit të Varrezave Tufinë, në Agjencinë e Shërbimeve Funerale të Bashkisë Tiranë, për veprën penale “Shpërdorimi i detyrës";

- G. D., 49 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës i Sektorit të Varrezave Tufinë, në Agjencinë e Shërbimeve Funerale të Bashkisë Tiranë, për veprën penale “Korrupsioni pasiv i personave që ushtrojnë funksione publike";

- B. L., 66 vjeç, për veprën penale “Ushtrimi i ndikimit të paligjshëm ndaj personave që ushtrojnë funksione publike”;

- A. A., 28 vjeç, për veprat penale "Ushtrimi i ndikimit të paligjshëm ndaj personave që ushtrojnë funksione publike dhe “Korrupsioni pasiv i punonjësve që ushtrojnë funksione publike";

- E. M., 37 vjeç, për "Ushtrimi i ndikimit të paligjshëm ndaj personave që ushtrojnë funksione publike" dhe "Korrupsion aktiv i punonjësve që ushtrojnë funksione publike";

- F. Gj., 24 vjeç, për veprën penale "Ndërtimi i paligjshëm".

Gjithashtu, u proceduan penalisht në gjendje të lirë shtetasit R. N., 44 vjeçe dhe J. Ç., 31 vjeç, për veprën penale "Shpërdorimi i detyrës".

Në vijim të veprimeve u shpallën në kërkim shtetasit Sh. N. dhe F. Gj.

From the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, in return for a reward of 30,000 to 50,000 new lek, abusing their duty, have provided burial places for different citizens in the Tufina cemetery.

Also, from the examination of the mobile devices of these citizens, it is suspected that through the exercise of illegal influence on the officials of other sectors, they enabled the issuing of construction and reconstruction permits, by the responsible institutions, for the houses damaged by the earthquake, against the payment of 200,000 ALL young people; issuance of ownership certificates at ASHK; the benefit of vaccination certificates against Covid-19, against the payment of 30,000 new lek, as well as the benefit of a soft loan from the municipality of Tirana." - informs the police./ CNA.al
