The Special Court of Appeal has upheld the decision for the former Deputy Minister of the Interior Rovena Voda.

The Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime sentenced Voda to 10 months in prison for corruption.

The latter did not go to the cell, after the announcement of the decision, as he was sentenced to "house arrest" and the decision was not final.

SPAK had requested 1 year in prison for the former deputy minister and her exclusion from exercising public functions for a period of 3 years.

Voda was found guilty of accepting monetary values ??to influence Beu's employment in the ministry. Referring to the investigation of the Special Prosecutor's Office, three meetings were held between Voda, Beu and Majlinda Hasan in February-March 2020 at the Ministry of the Interior and in Durrës.

They were intercepted while talking about giving an envelope with 1,000 euros to Voda and were filmed in a bar in Durrës, while giving the deputy minister a mobile phone.
