A 30-year-old man, accused by the Special Court as a member of a criminal group, has been arrested with the aim of extradition to the United Kingdom.

The citizen with the initials Xh.H was declared internationally wanted after the GJKKO, with the decision dated 22.04.2025, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization".

The 30-year-old is a member of the criminal group that cultivated narcotic plants in greenhouses in the village of Drenovicë, Berat, in 2022, where 870 kilograms of cannabis were seized.

Interpol Tirana/Intensive cooperation with partners, within the framework of the coded operation "The Wanted", for the localization, capture and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted.

A 30-year-old man accused by the Criminal Court of Albania as a member of a criminal group involved in narcotics activities is captured in the United Kingdom and arrested with the aim of extradition to Albania.

During the mega-operation codenamed "Storm", which hit this criminal group, in November 2022, in the village of Drenovicë, Berat, the Police seized 870 kilograms of the narcotic Cannabis Sativa.

As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Manchester, United Kingdom, it became possible to capture in the United Kingdom and arrest with the aim of extradition to Albania, the citizen:

Xh. H., 30 years old.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime of Tirana, with the decision dated 22.04.2025, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group and criminal organization".

Investigations suspect that this citizen is a member of the criminal group that cultivated narcotic plants in greenhouses in the village of Drenovicë, Berat, in 2022.

Interpol Tirana continues procedures in cooperation with Interpol Manchester, for the extradition of this citizen to Albania. /CNA
