The North Atlantic Alliance has reacted to the beginning of the removal of the barricades in the north of Kosovo.
NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungesco welcomed this act, further requesting that the parties adhere to their duties.
She further added that NATO is ready to intervene if the freedom of movement in Kosovo is violated.
"NATO welcomes efforts to de-escalate tensions in the north of Kosovo. We expect all parties to adhere to their duties.
"NATO and KFOR are watching closely and are ready to intervene if necessary, in accordance with the mandate from the UN to guarantee freedom of movement," she wrote in a tweet. /CNA.al
