A visually impaired (blind) BBC presenter has told how he confronted a thief who tried to steal his mobile phone.

He said that the person who had tried to rob him had been riding a bicycle, and he had followed him from behind, not hesitating to confront him.

"He was mistaken for the wrong blind man," says BBC journalist Sean Dilley.

He shared his story on Twitter, where he told his followers that he was posting the status from the same phone they had tried to rob.

His ordeal went viral on the social media site, garnering over 9,000 likes and over 600,000 views.
