"Rest in peace Novruz"/ Balla: Whoever raises his hand against the police cannot avoid punishment

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, reacted after the perpetrator of the murder of the police officer in Fier, Azgan Mërnica, surrendered.

Balla, in his post on social networks, emphasizes that the judiciary is already expected to do its duty.

The minister has warned that whoever raises his hand against the police officers and the State Police, will not be able to avoid punishment.

"Rest in peace dear Novrus! Together with your family, your State Police colleagues and the whole society, we are now waiting for justice to do its duty. Whoever raises his hand against the police officer has raised his hand against the state and can never avoid punishment", writes Balla.

The perpetrator of the murder, Azgan Mërnica, surrendered to the police a few moments ago, after the police had been chasing him for two days./ CNA
